Employee Return to Campus Support Desk

Between June 1 and September 1, employees will gradually be invited to return to campus for on-site work. For questions, campus staff employees may contact the Return to Campus Support Desk M-F from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 858-246-3570 or hr@ucsd.edu.

Return to Campus

Plans for an incremental return to campus has commenced, with the intent to resume full campus operations by the start of the Fall Quarter. These plans are being created in strict compliance with public health guidelines and with a commitment to keeping our campus community safe and healthy. We are exploring strategies to promote greater work-life balance, with equity at the forefront.

UC San Diego Vaccination

UC San Diego's RIMAC Vaccination Site has permanently closed. A COVID-19 Vaccination Site is now open at Price Center by appointment only. The clinic is available to UC San Diego students and employees (including Health) as well as students enrolled at other University of California campuses. We encourage all employees and students to get vaccinated as quickly as possible in order to protect the health and well-being of our campus community and our regional population.

Campus Safety

Public health is a collective effort. The entire campus community is expected to follow campus safety requirements to help prevent infection. Federal, state and county COVID-19 guidelines have changed recently and we anticipate communicating additional updates before the end of July. In the meantime, please see UC San Diego's existing safety guidelines, including wearing face coverings indoors and completing the daily symptom and exposure screening.

COVID-19 Testing Options

Students and campus employees who have been fully vaccinated (two weeks after final dose of vaccine) are no longer required to take part in weekly asymptomatic testing. Those who are not fully vaccinated, as well as those who develop symptoms, will continue to have access to COVID-19 testing through self-administered kits retrieved from campus vending machines (no appointment needed); provider-observed self-administered testing at Price Center (appointment needed); or provider-administered testing via drive thru (appointment needed).
