Vaccination Notification Inquiries
We are aware that some employees have received an eligibility invitation for vaccination, but have not yet received their scheduling ticket in MyUCSDChart. Complete the Vaccination Notification Inquiry form to report the issue »
COVID-19 Testing Options
On-site students and campus employees may fulfill required COVID-19 testing through self-administered kits retrieved from campus vending machines (no appointment needed); provider-observed self-administered testing at Price Center (appointment needed); or provider-administered testing via drive thru (appointment needed). Those completing their first-ever test must make an appointment. Future tests can then be conducted by visiting vending machines—which will soon require you to scan your campus ID card.
UC San Diego Vaccination
A COVID-19 vaccination site has opened on campus at the Recreation, Intramural and Athletic Complex (RIMAC). Campus employees who are eligible for vaccination per San Diego County approved phases will receive an email notification of eligibility from “Return to Learn” and a separate invitation to schedule an appointment through MyUCSDChart. The RIMAC vaccination site is walk-up, and appointments are required. Students may be eligible for vaccination based on criteria related to campus employment.

Winter 2021 Plan
Winter quarter courses are offered remotely as well as taught in-person in outdoor classrooms. On-site students (including residents) and employees are expected to conduct a symptom and exposure screening daily and participate in no-cost asymptomatic testing weekly. On-campus undergraduate housing will remain at single occupancy for winter quarter. For the majority of campus staff employees who are currently working remotely, they will continue to do so at least through May 31, 2021.

Testing and Screening
All who are living, working and attending classes on campus are required to complete a daily symptom and exposure screening; those who report symptoms will be offered a test promptly. Student and employee asymptomatic testing for COVID-19 is offered on a weekly basis at no cost through UC San Diego Health.

Campus Safety
Public health is a collective effort. The entire campus community is expected to follow campus safety requirements to help prevent infection. Please review UC San Diego’s safety guidelines, including wearing face coverings, completing the daily symptom and exposure screening and maintaining physical distance.

Town Halls
In an effort to provide regular updates and answer your questions about the fall plan, UC San Diego will host monthly town halls about the Return to Learn program and campus operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. If you are not able to catch the live event, all of the webinars are archived on our Town Hall page.
